I went for a trial run today. I'm looking for areas that are good to run both short distances and longer distances. I have a place in mind for longer distances that I will check out later (along the rice paddy fields) and for now I'm going down the roads toards the beach and the Junior High School.
Today I just wanted to see where I'm at right now; how many steps I can go before my chest wants to explode. I was expecting about 60 or 70 steps but I was actually able to go 200 steps before I had to stop! I'm very happy with that!! On the way back I was only able to go 160 steps before I had to go back to walking, but that's still better than I had thought I could do. I plan to try and increase it by 10 steps each day, but I'm not going to worry too much about it if I can't right away. If I can do the same tomorrow I'll still be happy :) I'm just glad the rain held off :) I won't be running in the rain.
I'm also thinking of running on days that I don't do my work out. Alternate between running and my 30 minute excercise routine. I'm not sure what's best. I'll have to think on it some more.
I have only one concern about all the excercise. I know I need to do it because it will be better for me to be lighter and definitely better for my back. However, I can't afford to fly back to Canada for the next few years and I am WAY too large to buy clothes in Japan (except for some plus size t-shirts) so when I start losing enough weight that my clothes (especially my suits) don't fit anymore, what the hell am I supposed to do? I have never been lucky buying clothes so I refuse to buy them online only to get them and they don't fit. I'll have to figure something out. Maybe I can find someone that can make alterations to the clothes I have.
Still no sign of that cockroach. I have a feeling I may have shut him up in the closet. Well, he can stay in there. I don't think I have to go in there for a few weeks yet. lol
