wow, I'm cold!
It's been 100 degrees (F) or so for the past 3 days and all of a sudden it's gone down to 62F. Needless to say, the air conditioner has been turned off.
Yesterday I took full advantage of the beautiful weather and spent the day downtown in the market with some friends. We spent an hour or so in Chapters (book store) and while I was sitting in the foreign language isle passing time while my friends found what they were looking for, I met a girl (R) who was trying to decide on her first German book. We ended up talking and 30 minutes later we had picked out a good book for her and a dictionary to get her started. My friends and I ended up spending another 30 minutes chatting with R and somehow got talking about desserts. According to R, there is a really neat restaurant just around the corner from Chapters called "Zack's Diner" where they have deep fried mars bars. They wrap the mars bar in phylo (sp?) dough and deep fry it and serve it with ice cream and chocolate sauce! SWEET!!! too sweet! Definitely something that you would want to share with someone.
None of us, except for R, had been there before, so after deciding that we were all free for the rest of the afternoon, we went on an adventure to this magical diner. Unfortunately we ate so much that none of us had any room left in our stomachs for dessert. The mere thought of more food was enough to make me feel....very uncomfortable. I can't wait to go back there! The food was amazing!!! and the milkshakes are HUGE!!! also the people who work there are really nice and have a great sense of humour. (SHAGNES, we so have to go back there!!!)
Tomorrow I get to spend the day with my adopted brother J. I haven't seen him since school got out in April. We're supposed to go to breakfast and then we're planing on renting the movie "Jumper", which I really enjoyed in theaters but he hasn't seen yet, and I think there was talk about playing frisbee in the park. Should be a good day.
Oh!! CONGRATULATIONS TRICIA!!!! You've officially graduated from Uni!!!
I'm sorry I missed it. I can't believe I slept through your grad ceremony. I don't care what you say, I am such a douche bag.
I'm glad that you had a great time though. : )
